Since 1932, the Original Frozen Custard has been serving
Lafayette’s finest premium family-made ice cream – frozen custard.
Our grandparents developed the recipes for our fruit drink, chocolate syrup and
frozen custard over seventy years ago.
The frozen custard machine at
the Teal Road store was one of two machines custom-made for our grandparents in
1951. The twin to this frozen custard machine is now in a museum in Michigan.
It has been restored and is now on display in a replicated old-fashion frozen
custard drive-in at the Gilmore Classic Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan.
